Good evening/morning, loving
readers of the Lockerian Times. Tonight I have a few inflammatory
topics which I haven't written on in a while, but which I feel may
help the situation at hand. Before I begin, it is worth sharing that
the moods I will partake in defeating this evening are among those
which piss me off the most. They warrant very little respect for the
people who exhibit them. As such, I don't really care if someone gets
their feelings hurt on this one.
For our first topic, I
isolate a strange mood among some people. Despite my obvious status
as an admittedly far-left individual, I follow up on developments in
right wing politics. This means that I'm a member of some shitposting
groups on the computer, and I also look for crazy stuff that insane
Fallwell-esque types say. Over the past year, it has been impossible
to ignore a fresh trend of transphobia, aka bigotry against
transgendered or other non-binary people. To me this issue hits close
to home. I'm close friends with several trans people, and I am also
an open bisexual who is not part of the bro culture who doesn't care about meeting gender quotas. So they're gonna
hit me pretty convincingly with some bullshit, collateral or
otherwise. Much of the flak comes traditionally from religious
ignorance, but strains of fallacious argumentation have recently
arisen of a pseudo-scientific nature.
Basically, most meatheads
refuse to understand nuance. They think that biological sex should
more or less directly correspond to gender and social status. In
presenting their opinion on the topic, they commonly just gloss over even the
idea that there is a difference, while berating anyone who disagrees.
If you don't accept their social views, you're portrayed essentially
as a religious fanatic. They usually say "_____ doesn't
understand biology", and they are such snarky bitches about it.
I could go on about the intellectual snobbery of dumbasses all day.
The common exponents of an uninformed view are going to be
uninformed, to say the least. But the question is, is there anything
better that they have to offer? The short answer to this is no.
The long answer to the
question of the hour (I'm pretty uninspired tonight) would be a
somewhat longer way of saying fuck no. These people are intellectual
sacks of shit, fit for nothing but being beat around. They got a
significant distance through life, and some traumatic event caused
them to just drop it and commit intellectual sudoku. The reason I'm
writing this, about 400 words into it I realize, is a strain of LGBT
enablers. Not many people do this at all, but it is such a banal
instinct that pisses me off. They are LGB, but for
predictable reasons, they want the T out. I've seen such people
shamefully recite the old bathroom rhetoric, which I refuse to even
indulge due to its clear fallacy and dumbfuckery. They think that if
they vocally further the arguments of bigots, maybe they can suck Pat
McCrory's cock. Or maybe they can even be loved and accepted by
everyone.
If this is the point to all
they do, it is easier to understand them. I know of many other people
who want to be accepted. Living in a society where a critical mass of
people hate you for existing isn't so stylish, no matter how cool it
looks. But we need to make some realizations. When hatred and
intolerance is around, it hurts all of us. Acceptance doesn't come
from making a big mess out of yourself and hurting others. You can't
destroy your way to peace. And if you try and shift the burden away from yourself at the expense of others, you're gonna get assblasted by the burden in the end. Some people have religious lines of attack
which they prize as infallible, and I realize the message will
perhaps fail to make an immediate impact on them. But doubtless, many
other people think that furthering transphobia or whatever else will
make people feel better about people who are non-heterosexual.
This has to stop. NOW.
Nobody appreciates a useful idiot. And before it is argued that maybe
the religious folks are the useful idiots, I'll address this as well.
Given that the facts are stacked against the bathroom idiocy, what
does a gay person really have to gain from all this? The LGBT
movement from its inception has been founded on freedom. We're all
about personal choice: be who you want to be, do what you want to do,
love who you want to love. We're in pursuit of a positive goal –
that everyone can decide who they want to be, independently. There
are logical bounds where freedom must end – pedophilia, for
example. It is equally logical that freedom should be granted as
broadly as possible. If freedom can end when someone discovers that
they don't ascribe to some prescribed, pumped-up gender identity, why
do we even start with the L?
I'll tell ya why. Lesbian
sex is incredibly hot. Anyone who commits a transgression against it
will forever be seen as a cock-blocking asshole.
Thank you for reading.
