Beat the Brow, Adolescence Clock

Today's the first day
Living for nobody
Nothing's behind my back
Nobody up my sleeve

It's the mystery serenade
To greet me to sleep tonight;
It's the kiss
Of the moonlight.

Though love has spat
My desire back at me
At least I'm here
In the darkness, at bat.

The creek moves on
Waters-a-flowing
Dreams are showing
And a little admiration, too.

As long as I'm feeling it
There's a nice, gentle step.
Long as I live it
There's a love that runs deep.

There's a heart I can keep
And all the love I can spare
To reach the wearier heart
Though journeys'll be steep.

Even when you feel
Deep down inside, in that tender place:
You've done enough
You've failed, at last

You can just sit and remember
Let the gloom console you a while
And stay a while
Because this could go on forever.

This could go on forever
Just you and me
and the dreams that flow the walls.

Crude Staple

Crude Staple
Climbing up the beanstalk
The grit beneath red hands
I'm wearing the clothes you like
I'm showing off my style

When can I come up
And reach your golden steps
When can you shine those eyes
Upon me?

Beautiful lover,
When can I see your letter
When can we meet forever
When will the sun fall down?

It's a dire long fall from here
The Earth looks so cold below
The bristle winds vainly give me
The goosebumps that have driven me.

The best you demanded
That your perfection designed
I would be perfected
And you'd me forever mine.

But the fairy tale ambitions
Have now turned away, to dust,
The pedals swept away
To leave old wooded husk.

What a long old way to fall
From love, how long I have to fall.
But of the princesses I've loved
To forget you is hardest of all.

Life Holiday/Done with Dejection

An important foreword:

Amid the insanity of the R. Kelly cult, I figured I'd give my two cents. Don't we all see ourselves aspiring to the beautiful people, hoping to join them one day? Whether this is about power, sex, money, affection or the likes, I think this mentality is pervasive. Now, we don't all join up in some weird watersports cult and get pissed on by a narcissistic rapper. But don't we all make some gestures to get what we want?

It's dangerous to think of these people as superheroes. Everyone has skeletons in the closet. Nobody is better than anyone else, and nobody can control another person. If you mean to chase beauty, intelligence, success, etc, the price should never be your soul. Never put yourself in danger. Never wander into torture when looking for pleasure. Never wander into slavery while pursuing the ultimate freedom. You are already so beautiful, and you'll grow even moreso in the future. Just make sure you give yourself the freedom of expression and the care you need!

Life Holiday/Done with Dejection

Masters of choice,
Hear me clearly.
Hear my voice:
I love you dearly.

I've searched for somewhere
Where I can be free
While I settled to this life
These chains, to me.

But I'm plotting my escape
To do the deal shortly
Cybernetic warrior sapient
My mind is full, unhappy.

Take me in, give me food
Even if you take my brain
My body and all
Give me that security of choice

That domino to fall
Crash against this life
Wreck this place
Where people embarrass themselves,

Make me whole
Never been complete before
Caring for others
Never for my own.

Give me some purpose
Stern direction to this blind,
Even with evil at the surface
This mind will be mine.

Two moments in love

When will I die
What time of day will it be
What final thoughts will pass me
Who'll say goodbye?

And have I found love
Or a sweet place to call home,
Does the rain fall gently
Or is my death marked by catastrophe?

Do people think me a hero?
Or am I a fool passed to their relief,
Can they understand even
The expression that I give?

I feel, though breathing is heavy
And storms harder to bear as well,
That all which raised me
Must too come to fruition.

But must it come to fruition
At the eleventh hour
When the sun has dipped
And the sea's grown heavy with tears?

Though the clouds come in
Always carrying their bounty,
And the westerlies carried roses,
Why should the men?

Bookeeping

My routine constantly reminds me
It's a day of preparation
Getting together this vacuous life
No joy, no pleasure, love denied
You gave me gifts
They brought me back
To home's warmth again.
But that confection, affection,
Must be tossed for conflict
Fighting wars which never end
One sword's edge, to my foe,
One to pierce me in the heart
So I might forget where I'm not
Who I'm not
The privileges denied me
Rights put away,
They don't phase one so brave.
Our tongues have stalled
Every reason else eviscerated,
As you anticipate my return
Believing in your heart
I'm fighting for you, us,
But in my heart, I wander.
Now my legs could break
With a feather's touch.
I'm the man
Who could never die,
Not in a thousand years would I fall.
Still I'm toppled by the silence
The truth you're unaware of
The strength of my conviction,
What I'd put down
To show it true,
I'd wager the world.
Whenever we're together
I can't find the words to say
That I love you
That we may find the world
Together, surf the sweetness fields
And fight and die
As happy soldiers
The past locked away;
However cowardly I am
No matter how hard the task
It's impossible
To otherwise envision the dream.

Where I Stood, Atlanta

Laminate this world
Marinate it in poison
Drown out the pests in fires
Blot out unspeakable sins.

Erase the unpleasantries
And away with yourselves.
Retreat to the shade
For the sun shines too bright.

Sit in the darkness
For certainly it makes you content,
Stow away in memories
Of the ages gone by, loves missed.

Look away from the world
Gone by, live it presently.
Never miss a memory
Never miss a moonlit kiss.

Miss not a noble second
Don't let the sand run out,
Stand on the perch of destiny
Raise your talons, show your strength.

Talk down demons
Hold the sweet ones close.
Stand determined forever
For a new world is the softest endeavor.

We sadly have very little
Starving for attentiveness,
Until even foes make best friends
To bear out the uncertainty together.

I would love to bear those uncertainties
I would be happiest to meet you again
If life, fate so has it
But if not, I live on
Happy as can be.

Avolition on a Summer Day

You're just shocking me
Putting out my flame with your cold
As I close my eyes with you over my eyes
And cast a slight shade on this prescribed world.

The lights beam, my eyes gleam,
I partake in standing and fall drunken.
The picturesque world fades into perfection
My vision, into squares describes my heart.

The hearth and hearty warm
Of frustrated fever comes over me
I shake off the waves and shades

And throw away you, old pair of eyeglasses.

At This Special Time, Calling Lord Cloud

As this little experiment draws to an end,
You meet with my eyes as sight begins to dim;
The canopy thick wafts waves of sound above our ears,
Heads below roaring with gentle care as seconds fade.
Kissing lips and keeping your body from the far shade.

Rusty

I figured today I should sit and write something, since a lot has been on my mind. This week has been the hardest in recent memory. I haven't done so much on Google Plus or anything lately, although don't blame me for having indulged a Youtube argument about religion just to feel a little good about myself. The people who support me are wonderful. And there's been an outpouring of love and support this week much befitting of you all.

The Sad Truth (From a Lying Anthropologist)

Maybe a week ago, I was pretty bored and looking for something to write about. Then this poem came upon me. This is classic case of misanthropy, taken from the jaws of a voracious beast with three heads and two toes. Maybe it also contains some misandry.
Before posting this poem, I thought of the idea of doing a face reveal. There's this funny picture of me holding a Pinkie Pie toy from Toys R Us in my hand, and it fit this poem so well. But sadly the art of face sharing is too scary. However, we'll make a deal. I'm around 1k hits so far. This is a monumentous beginning for where we're going. For my 1bth hit, I'm getting us all a private flight to the colony on Titan onboard Elon Musk's most state-of-the-art space shuttle.
I hear you now: fuck yeah. We're gonna rock this Solar System with shitty political analysis and deep poetical insight, along with some basic human kindness and fortitude. I'd never doubt it. So without further ado, a poem I am very proud of.

Bounding Through Time

Ending of Super Paper Mario.
Compliments go out to CountBleck2009 for sharing.
I had the idea to post this because of several things. Firstly, I stumbled upon a Twilight Zone episode called "The Call" in which a lonely haunted statue meets a lonely man and then turns him into another haunted statue. How this jogged my mind to this end, don't ask. My second reason is that I'm in the process of updating the blog, and I noticed while setting labels that I have not featured my poetry here. So we'll start our grand poetic supernatural quest here.
